Our First Simbang Gabi was held last night at Christ The King Church and was followed by a taste of Filipino dishes, like Puto-bungbung, Bibingka, Dinuguan, Hot pandesal with star margarine and lots more. Many Filipino families and guests witness the First Mass. The Simbang Gabi masses will be moving around six churches of Jacksonville, Florida and will end on the 24th back at Christ The King Church.
Msgr. Rudy Villanueva from the Archdiocese of Cebu. was our main Guest and celebrant of all our "Simbang Gabi" Masses. A nine day novena before the Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In behalf of all the dedicated members of Christ The King Fil-Am Ministry and All the Fil-Am Organizations involved in this joined partnership sponsoring this Philippine Tradition. We like to say "Maraming Salamat, PO", Msgr !!. May God give you more blessing and wisdom for what you have done for us.
Churches that will celebrate the "Simbang Gabi" are:
Blessed Trinity, Holy Spirit, St Catherine (Orange Park), Mary Queen of Heaven (Arglye), and St. John the Baptist (Mayport).
